The SIP Lab is currently housed within the Psychology Department at McGill University. Starting January 2022, we will be located at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in beautiful Kelowna, BC.

We examine the causes and consequences of accurate social perception and expression. For example, what factors enable you to understand someone’s personality? And do accurate perceptions in turn impact well-being, social relationships, and physical health?

Dr. Human will be considering applications for graduate students for Fall 2022 to join the new lab location at UBC Okanagan. Please email Dr. Human directly if you plan to apply, or if you have any questions (see contact page). For more details on the UBCO psychology department and graduate program please visit their website:  https://psych.ok.ubc.ca

If you are interested in undergraduate research opportunities at McGill, please email our lab coordinator at human-lab@mcgill.ca. Please note that because the lab is transitioning in 2022, we will not be accepting any more research projects this year, but there may be some volunteer positions available for the 2021-2022 academic year.

For undergraduate research opportunities at UBCO, starting in winter 2022, please email Dr. Human directly (see contact page).

To learn about who we are, visit our Lab Members page. To learn more about our research, please visit the Research and Publications pages and feel free to contact us with any questions.
